Sorry for no updates for the last couple of days - phone was running low on batteries! So, we're home now - all in one piece (at least mostly). Friday was split into five blocks for archery, shooting, climbing, rafting and go-karts with football, baseball and the low ropes course to fill time. Then it was sausage and chips for dinner and time to start clearing up to go home.
Now to get to the washing and sorting thousands of photos. Then a good nights sleep in a proper bed :)

The shout of the day us again "where's your waterproof?". Yes, it's another damp day but it doesn't matter as we're off to Lyndhurst and Romsey Rapids for the week's bath!
They all made it back from the hike in one piece by the way.

Good News - two hours into the hike our scouts made it to use at the second checkpoint without getting lost! Only four more checkpoints to go...

Jack and Matt will be completing their two day cycle expedition today while the rest will be off for a day hike. It's not raining at the moment but it doesn't look good.

The stuff I forgot: rifle shooting, survival skills (don't ask what they did with the rabbit!!!) and scraphheap challenge. It's quite quiet without the PLs so both patrols cooking together this evening (curry and rice).

And it turns out I was a Russian spy! Sleepy now after being chased by 100 scouts...
Tomorrow there is a choice of activities. Jack and Matt are office on a two day cycle ride. Some others are rafting, some carving and some something else I can't remember at the moment.

Today we are doing an all day wide game to hunt for a Russian spy. Lots of bases for the scouts to do around the site but some restful time for the leaders while we wait for them to find us.
Still no photos unfortunately - the technology is failing :-(

Skills bases today - knife and axe, fire lighting, knots, first aid and other such stuff. Now it's time to cook dinner (chicken I here) and then a wide game or "chill zone".

oops, first mishap of the camp - we brought the wrong tent! but there is still enough space in the others so no one has to sleep outside. and the tents are almost up.

We have huge pile of kit in the Den, the weather forecast is for a week of rain so that must mean it's time for summer camp!
There is some good news though - it's only expected to rain twice during the week. Once from Saturday to Wednesday and once from Friday to Saturday.
Assuming the mobile signal holds up we'll be aiming to post updates and photos during the week so check back to find out what we're up to.
