Bag Packing at ASDA

Basingstoke Sea Scouts have invited us to take part in a Bag Packing event at ASDA on Saturday 12th December. This is an excellent opportunity to raise funds for the group and directly reduce activity costs for those that take part.

We need help from all Cubs and Scouts plus parents from all three sections so that we raise as much as possible.  Find out more about the day.

Scouts Prove They're the Cleanest in Hampshire

8th Basingstoke Scouts proved they were the cleanest Scouts in Hampshire at the County Summer Camp held at Lyon's Copse last week.  As well as taking part in activities including climbing, wide games, swimming, carving, archery and shooting the patrol claimed first place in the Site Inspection Competition by keeping their site clean and tidy all week.

Sainsbury's Active Kids: Thank You

Thanks to everyone who donated Sainsbury's Acitve Kids vouchers this year.  We received over 400 vouchers which will allow us to claim cooking equipment including jugs, frying pans and scissors.

A Busy Weekend

This weekend eight Scouts went to Ferny Crofts in the New Forest.  Despite the slightly wet weather we survived the weekend and even (possibly) had fun at times. Find out what we got up to.

But that's not all - on Saturday Bear Grylls was officially invested as the new Chief Scout at Gilwell 24. Watch the handover.
