Active Kids is Back

Sainsbury's Active Kids is back. You can collect Active Kids vouchers when shopping at Sainsbury's and Sainsbury's Petrol Stations from 9 February to 31 May 2011.

Please give your vouchers to any leader and we can exchange them for sports, outdoor and cooking equipment for the group. In 2010 the group benefited from a range of cooking equipment, a new first aid kit, storage boxes and tea towels courtesy of Active Kids.

Bag Packing at ASDA

On Saturday we will be Bag Packing at ASDA to raise funds.

We need all Cubs and Scouts plus parents and other family members to come along and help out.

Group AGM

The Group AGM will be held on Saturday 3rd July (don't worry, it won't clash with any of the World Cup games!)

St Georges's Day Event

The Tri-District St George's Day event will take place on Saturday.

All Beavers, Cubs and Scouts should meet in the Den at 10am in full uniform. We'll be meeting up with the other Beavers, Cubs and Scouts from across Basingstoke and Silchester by St Michael's Church before parading through Festival Place. After the event we'll return to the Den at approximately 1pm.

If it's raining, don't forget to bring a waterproof and if it's sunny don't forget to wear sun cream.

Bag Packing: The Results

On Saturday 10th April we teamed up with Basingstoke Sea Scouts to raise funds by bag packing at ASDA. Between the two groups we managed a total of 175 hours of packing and raised nearly £900 pounds.

Thanks to Cairn, Ashley, Iona, Sophie, Amy, Alex and Jack for their help during the day and to Nick Woodcock from Sea Scouts for organising the event.
