                        <title>Heavy Snow Forecast</title>
                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Due to the heavy snow forecast for this evening (5th January)&amp;nbsp;<b>Beavers and Cubs</b> have been cancelled.</p>
<p>At this stage we still plan to go ahead with <b>Scouts</b> although you are advised to check weather forecasts to make sure you'll be able to get home at the end of the evening!</p>]]></content:encoded>

                        <title>8th Win District Quiz</title>
                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The group's leaders have again shown that they know lots of useless information by winning the District Quiz 2009. &amp;nbsp;The winning team were presented with the Graham Viner Trophy along with pencils, notebooks and other exciting prizes for winning individual rounds.</p>
<p>We'll be back to try to retain our title in 2010.</p>]]></content:encoded>

                        <title>Bag Packing at ASDA</title>
                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Basingstoke Sea Scouts have invited us to take part in a Bag Packing event at ASDA on <strong>Saturday 12th December</strong>. This is an excellent opportunity to raise funds for the group and directly reduce activity costs for those that take part.</p>

                        <title>Scouts Prove They're the Cleanest in Hampshire</title>
                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>8th Basingstoke Scouts proved they were the cleanest Scouts in Hampshire at the County Summer Camp held at Lyon's Copse last week.&amp;nbsp; As well as taking part in activities including climbing, wide games, swimming, carving, archery and shooting the patrol claimed first place in the Site Inspection Competition by keeping their site clean and tidy all week.</p>
