So you'd like to join?

We accept boys and girls aged between 6 and 14 in Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.

If you are interested in joining, e-mail us at join@8thbasingstoke.org.uk. We'll get back to you as soon as we can and arrange a free trial period. If you enjoy the trial we'll give you more info on becoming a full member of the group.

Unfortunately we don't have spaces immediately available in all sections at the moment but please still get in touch and we can advise if space is available or when a place might become available.

Adults in Scouting

As with most Scout Groups, we are run entirely by volunteers.  We are always looking for extra help both working with young people and behind the scenes administering the group, raising funds or pretty much anything else you can think of.  If you enjoyed Scouting as a child and would like to give something back we're sure to be able to find a role for you.

If you are interested in helping out, e-mail Dennis, our Group Scout Leader, at dennis@8thbasingstoke.org.uk.  He'll arrange to meet with you to discuss how you can be fitted in to the group.  As you would expect we'll need to run a full background check to ensure the safety of our youth members.

The Scout Association offers a full range of training courses to support you in your role if you need it.
