Welcome to the 8th Basingstoke Scout Group website.
The members of the group make up a tiny number of the 28 million Scouts around the world. Through the Cub Pack and Scout Troop we aim to provide fun, exciting activities for children aged 8 to 14 as well as challenge our members to do their best.
Vacancies for 6-14 year olds
The group currently has spaces for boys and girls aged 6 to 14 years:
- Beavers (6-8 years)
- Cubs (8-10 years)
- Scouts (10-14 years)

Important: Active Kids: Only a Week to Go

There is only one week left to collect Sainsburys Active Kids vouchers for 2009.
Please collect the vouchers when you are shopping at Sainsburys between now and 3rd June and bring them the Beavers, Cubs or Scouts as soon as you can.
Bear Grylls announced as new Chief Scout

Bear Grylls will be the new Chief Scout of the UK Scout Association. The famous adventurer takes over when Peter Duncan completes his five year tenure in July.
Scouts 'Get Active'

Eight Scouts from 8th Basingstoke joined hundreds of others from the County at Lyon's Copse near Botley for the Get Acitve weekend.
Actiivites during the weekend include archery, climing, cycling, hiking, shooting and rafting.
